For WACFL Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, and Policy Debate:
Due to the weather conditions that impacted WACFL Policy, LD, and Public Forum in January, we are adding additional eligibility factors. For Varsity and Junior Varsity students who have received a 3-1 record at a previous preliminary WACFL tournament this season in the specified event, a registration for the applicable debate January WACFL tournament will count as a second 3-1 record in the event & division in which the student has previously earned a 3-1 record. Additionally, based upon your registration for the applicable WACFL January debate tournament, you can add a maximum of 2 student entries as ‘wildcards’ to that event metrofinals. The students must be entered in the event & division (Varsity or Junior Varsity) that was indicated on the applicable debate event January registration. Please note that there is no novice division at Metrofinals.
For WACFL Speech:
Due to the weather conditions that impacted Speech IV, we are adding additional eligibility factors. A student registered for Speech IV will be able to count that as attendance for Rule of 3 purposes. Additionally, based upon your registration for Speech IV, you can add a maximum of 3 entries as ‘wildcards’ to metrofinals. The students must be entered in the speech event that was indicated on the Speech IV registration. A double entry would could as two entries.
For WACFL Congress:
We are investigating adding a make-up Congress tournament. Please stay tuned for additional information. |
